Hutt Valley High School, Te Kura Tuarua o Te Awakairangi was founded in 1926. We focus on providing a high-quality, inclusive education that centers on students and their wellbeing, developing their strengths and talents for purposeful, rewarding futures.

Enrolments for 2027 – Now Open

Enrolments for 2027 are now open for both in-zone and out-of-zone applications. We encourage families to enrol their child early. This helps us to plan for your student’s learning needs and ensures that your student will be in the first group to receive the email with subject selections (many subjects have limited spaces).

Celebrating 100 Years of Hutt Valley High School

Planning is underway for the 100th anniversary celebration of Hutt Valley High School.  We’ll be opening the school doors for a special Centenary Open Day on Saturday, 8 August 2026, 10am to 4pm – a chance to revisit old classrooms, see what’s changed and reconnect with friends, classmates and former teachers.
