2027 Start Dates

Our school year consists of four terms, each approximately 10 weeks long. Students can begin school at any time; however, starting in February allows them to access all the subjects, sports, and clubs we have available.

Depending on sports played, estimated Sports Fees ($20-$200) may apply. A fee for Document Authentication ($150) may also apply. Hutt Valley High School has a school uniform, with an approximate cost of $250. A Christmas holding fee, up to $300 is applicable, only if a student’s room and belongings are kept during the end-of-year school holidays.

Term 4 Programme for International Students

Hutt Valley High School runs a 4-week activities programme for all non-NCEA international students throughout November. The programme is a combination of outdoor education, team projects, volunteer work, school based activities, overnight trips and personal development.

The first three weeks of term 4 consist of regular classes and then the 4-week programme commences after that. The cost of the programme is included in the tuition fees.
