Our 2026 Musical Production
Hutt Valley High School is excited to announce that we will be staging the musical Urinetown in 2026.
Do not let the name put you off. This is a fun show set in the future, where things aren’t looking so good.
A twenty-year drought has caused a terrible water shortage, making private toilets unthinkable. Public amenities are all controlled by the mega-corporation, Urine Good Company, which charges a fee for each trip to the bathroom.
Strict laws ensure that all citizens use only these facilities and failure to comply results in an immediate escort to “Urinetown”, the mysterious place from which no one ever returns.
The production is being led by Nicholas Kovacev, Derek Wood, Tim Webster, and Annette Inglis with support from many other amazing staff members.

Performances for Urinetown The Musical will take place in the HVHS Hall on:
- Tuesday, 30 June, 7:00pm – 9:00pm
- Wednesday, 1 July, 7:00pm – 9:00pm
- Thursday, 2 July, 7:00pm – 9:00pm (Understudies performing in central cast roles)
- Friday, 4 July, 7:00pm – 9:00pm
- Saturday, 5 July, 2:00pm – 4:00pm
