Learning Support Assistant
Our Supported Learning Centre here at Hutt Valley High School is seeking an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (previously called a Teacher Aide) to work with our amazing teenage students.
Our students have a range of learning and/or behaviour difficulties, so we require our Learning Support Assistants (LSA) to be patient, have good communication skills, and build positive working relationships with students, whānau, and colleagues. This role focuses on providing daily positive learning experiences. This position will also involve supporting some students with self-care management, e.g., toileting.
This role is a part-time, permanent, term-time-only position for 23.5 hours per week from Monday to Friday.

We are seeking more relief teachers to join Hutt Valley High School’s relief teacher pool to start working as soon as possible.
If you’re a registered secondary school teacher seeking casual work or an experienced sports coach interested in taking relief classes in Physical Education (PE), we’d love to hear from you!
