Premier Senior and Junior Premier A Teams registration fee is – $200.
All other teams – $60.
Junior and Senior Badminton Tournament costs are charged extra per event.
Additional Cost per event or Tournament costs – Entry fees, transport and accommodation where applicable – include NZSS Winter Tournament Week.
Fundraising is advised and can be organised through by a parent group.
Payments for winter sports are due by 27 April 2025.
Description
Badminton is played at both a competitive and social, competitive level for the inter-school competition for all age groups.
JUNIORS: Year 9 – 10 – play Thursdays – 4 – 6pm starting 8 May 2025.
SENIORS: Year 11-13 – play Fridays – 4 – 6pm starting 9 May 2025.
SOCIAL TEAM SET UP:
Students may form a social or competitive team of at least 6 players, but they must also nominate a competent adult coach/manager to attend their games when they enter their team.
All players must complete an individual online registration, and then, in early 2025, teams will collect a Special form from the sports office to complete.
Training is optional for these teams.
Venue
Most grades play at HVHS or various other Hutt Valley schools. Premier Teams play at Wellington, Tawa and the Naenae Badminton Halls.
