Description
HVHS School competes throughout the Season from April through to October
Competing in various events such as Karori relays, Wellington Cross Country Champs and Nationals.
It is an opportunity for all participants with a running ability / background to work on their aerobic fitness, providing benefits for many other sporting activities.

Karori Park, Trentham Memorial Park – May 8
CSW Cross Country Champs – Harcourt Park – May 22
Whanganui Round the lake relay – date to be confirmed
National NZ Cross Country Champs – Christchurch – 15 – 16 June
Road Race Relay Festival (a new event) NZ Athletics – 5 – 6 September Auckland
Uniform
HVHS Athletics singlet or PE top plus black shorts.
Equipment
Appropriate footwear and comfortable clothing for running
Suggested shorts and a singlet/t-shirt/long sleeve depending on the weather
HVHS P.E. gear would be appropriate for training
Training
Tuesday & Thursday Lunchtimes at HVHS.
Trail Dates
No trials, all welcome. Selections for events will be made based on student interest, availability and coach’s decision.
Registration
