Cost

• Premier Teams $180

• Basketball (Non-Premier) Teams $140 / Social Teams $60

• Additional cost per event or tournament costs are charged extra if selected and attend Regional and National competitions e.g. entry fees, transport and accommodation where applicable – includes NZSS Winter Tournament Week.

• Fundraising is advised and can be organised through a parent group. Please contact the Sports Office for more information.

• Payments for winter sports are due on Sunday 27 April 2025.

Description

• Games are played in Secondary schools within the Wellington region – (extending as far as Kapiti) during Terms 2 & 3.

• Seniors (Years 11-13) play on Fridays 6pm – 9pm – starting 9 May 2025.

• Juniors (Years 9 & 10) play on Tuesdays from 4:00pm – 7:00pm – starting 6 May 2025.

• Senior boys Basketball compete in the Whanganui High sports exchange – 10 June 2025 (HVHS Hosting)

• CSW Junior Finals – Walter Nash – 19 August 2025

• CSW Senior Finals – Ākau Tangi Sports Centre (Kilbirnie), 22 August 2025

• 3×3 Junior Tournament – Ākau Tangi Sports Centre (Kilbirnie), 4 November 2025.

• NZSS Basketball Central Cup – Ākau Tangi Sports Centre (Kilbirnie), 27-29 August 2025

• NZ Winter Tournament Week – Juniors, 31 August to 3 September 2025 (location – TBC)

• NZ Winter Tournament Week – Seniors, 4-7 September 2025 (location – TBC)

• $30 (hire fee) available from the Resource Centre.

• Footwear suitable for use in the gymnasium.
• Training and match balls are supplied.
• Mouth guards are mandatory.

• Trial dates to be confirmed, once teams are finalised training times at the HVHS Gyms will be allocated and confirmed to coaches/managers.
