Description
HVHS School competes throughout the Season from April through to October 2026.
Competing in events such as Relays at Wakefield Park, Wellington Cross Country Championships and Nationals.
It is an opportunity for all participants with a running ability / background to work on their aerobic fitness, providing benefits for many other sporting activities.

Relays, Wakefield Parkon 12 May 2026.
College Sport Wellington Cross Country Championships, Harcourt Parkon 28 May 2026.
National Cross Country Championships, Trentham Memorial Park, Saturday 20 June to Sunday 21 June 2026.
Road Race Relay Festival, New Zealand Athletics on 29 July 2026 (location to be confirmed).
Uniform
HVHS Athletics singlet or HVHS PE top plus black shorts.
Equipment
Appropriate footwear and comfortable clothing for running.
Suggested shorts and a singlet/t-shirt/long sleeve, depending on the weather.
HVHS PE top and black shorts for training.
Training
Eric Speakman will confirm to students any required trainings.
Trial Dates
No trials, all welcome.
Selections for events will be made based on student interest, availability and the coach’s decision.
