Description
HVHS School competes throughout the Season from April through to October 2025
Competing in events such as Relays at Wakefield Park, Wellington Cross Country Championships and Nationals
It is an opportunity for all participants with a running ability / background to work on their aerobic fitness, providing benefits for many other sporting activities

National NZ Cross Country Championships, Barge Park, Whangārei, Saturday 14 June – Sunday 15 June 2025
Road Race Relay Festival, New Zealand Athletics (date to be confirmed)
Uniform
HVHS Athletics singlet or HVHS PE top plus black shorts
Equipment
Appropriate footwear and comfortable clothing for running
Suggested shorts and a singlet/t-shirt/long sleeve, depending on the weather
HVHS PE top and black shorts for training
Training
Tuesday & Thursday lunchtimes at HVHS (these timings are flexible)
Trail Dates
No trials, all welcome. Selections for events will be made based on student interest, availability and coach’s decision
