  • Additional costs per event or Tournament costs are charged extra – Entry fees, transport and accommodation where applicable
  • Premier A team travel to NZSSC during Winter tournament week – approx cost per student $1000
  • Fundraising is advised and can be organised through a parent group. Please contact the Sports Office for more information.
  • Payments for winter sports are due by Sunday 29 April 2024
Description
  • The time of day and venue depends on the grade in which the team is placed.
  • School teams play in Collegiate grades against other school teams.

  • NZSS Tournament – BOYS   destination TBC 2 – 6 September Premier 1st X1 Boys & Girls teams compete in the Whanganui High sports exchange – 2024 AWAY, June 11
  • Premier 1 Team competition – Monday evenings at St Oran’s College Lower Hutt
  • All other grades play Saturday – at either TAITA courts or Taita College (depends on the grade)
  • Grades are – Premier 1 and Premier 2, Collegiate 1-10. There is also a mixed team competition and social teams for students wanting to play for fun.
Trial Dates
  • Premier 1 & 2 & Seniors – students wishing to be considered are required to be at each trial unless they are notified otherwise: Trial 1 – 3:30-4:45pm Monday 4 March, Trial 2 – 9:30am-12pm Sunday 10 March, Trial 3 – 9:30am-12pm Sunday 17 March.
  • Juniors – students wishing to be considered are required to be at each trial unless they are notified otherwise: Wednesday 13 March 3:30-5:00pm, Thursday 14 March 3:30-5:00pm, Tuesday 26 March (if required) 3:30-5:00pm and Wednesday 27 March (if required) 3:30-5:00pm.
Competition Key Dates
  • ALL games commence SATURDAY MAY 4th (note, no games on King’s Birthday weekend).
  • CSW Senior A Premier Tournament, Ākau Tangi / ASB Kilbirnie – 16 May
  • Premier 1 & Premier 2 teams compete in the Whanganui High sports exchange – 2024, June 11
  • RSSL Starts for the Premier 1 – 24 June
  • CSW Junior A Tournament, Ākau Tangi / ASB Kilbirnie – 8 August
  • CSW RSSL Finals, Ākau Tangi / ASB Kilbirnie – 26 August
  • Lower North Island Tournament – Premier 1 – Pettigrew Arena, Hawkes Bay 1 -5 September
Game Venue
  • Premier 1 – play at St Orans College Monday 

  • All other grades play Taita College or Taita Netball Courts.
Uniform
  • Black skirt and top can be purchased from the Resource Centre (either new or pre-loved).
  • Premier 1, Premier 2, 10A and 9A teams are required to hire HVHS Netball dresses.
  • Some Senior teams will also wear dresses depending on numbers.
Equipment
  • Each team is provided with a GEAR bag – containing practice & match ball / 2 sets bibs / first aid kit
  • Individuals require – drink bottles – Sports shoes
Trainings
  • Premier 1 – TBC. Premier 2 – TBC.
  • Junior A – TBC.
  • All other grades will train at times determinded by the Coach / Manager.
Registration
  • Closing date for registration is Sunday 4 February 2024.
