Grading
A preliminary weigh-in will occur in week 5 term 1 and an official weigh-in during week 7. Players are then graded by weight or age.
Venues
HVHS or schools in the Wellington region.
Venues can change at the last minute due to ground closures and may be moved to council grounds (if required)
Uniform
Playing jerseys will be provided.
Rugby socks and shorts must be purchased from the Resource Centre by all teams except the Boys 1st XV team who need to purchase socks only.
Equipment
Coaches/Managers will all be provided with a gear bag containing – practice balls / kicking tees / cones / first aid / training singlets and sideline jackets
Students must provide their own suitable footwear/ boots
Mouthguards are mandatory. The Boys 1st XV have mouthguards provided.
Trainings
Preseason STARTS – Monday Feb 5th – Wednesday April 10th – FOR ALL PLAYERS.
Preseason training – Mondays & Wednesdays – 3.30pm
Rugby Training 1st XV & 2nd XV -Tuesday & Thursdays @ HVHS 3.30pm – TBC early 2024
Other teams – TBC – depends on coach and field availability.
